Today’s theme: The 06 fears a Christian must tame ( continuation)

Verses of the day : Romans 12:1-2; Prov24:16; J8:36, J14:27; Isaiah 41:10

– The fourth fear is what will people say? (Rom12:1-2) That is, people who do things in relation to others. The problem is whether others will respect me. Indeed, as Christians we have to look for the difference in the midst of the multitude, and the difference here is choosing the Lord and being weird in the eyes of the world. This fear is accompanied by the shame of affirming our Christianity.

We need to be sincere with ourselves and with God in order to appear before God as we are, and to act out of conviction about our relationship with God. Instead, we need to ask ourselves what God will think.

– Fear of failure (Proverbs 24:16). In fact, as children of God, we can fail because God certainly wants to teach us, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t make us infallible. Your degree or level of spirituality shouldn’t make you so proud as to say you can’t fall any further. We mustn’t be afraid to fail, no matter what we do, because the Lord is with us.

– Other fears are sometimes due to what we’ve experienced or seen, such as the fear of marriage because of a bad experience we’ve seen next to us, the fear of the most high places.

– Fear of failure (Proverbs 24:16). In fact, as children of God, we can sometimes be afraid of having children for selfish reasons, fear of being looked down upon …. It’s God’s opinion of you, and your own, that counts.

– Some encouraging verses on freedom from fear

John 8:36; John 14:27 and Isaiah 41:10

You need to free yourself from fear, and the one who can free us is the Lord.

God encourages us to fear nothing, for he is with us.

Prayer: Lord please help me overcome my fears .

Your servant,

Shekina
