Romans 12v12 Be Joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in Prayer
Being joyful in hope ! Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire. The Bible says in Hebrews 1v1 « Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. » So we can compare faith and hope,. They are therefore similar . We know that we manifest hope or faith when we expect something without seeing it. So, here the Bible is asking us to be Joyful while waiting on God. So, be Joyful even before receiving what we are expecting. This act of being Joyful when we wait on God, is called faith. The Lord therefore asks later in luke, if There will still be faith when he will come back.
People have stopped believing in the God able of separiting the waters into two, We have stopped believing in the God able of talking to the storm, all our Hope is now on our efforts, on our personal labour and work. We believe that we can make it on our own. Christians have stopped waiting on God, waiting until they see. Our God has NEVER stopped being the REAL AND LIVING GOD , The problem is that, We Christians have stopped being Real Christians !
Prayer
(You could take some time of worship and repent) Lord I gave You my Heart once, but I took it back in my dire..as from today I want to give it all to You , no matter the season.
