When you have passion for someone, you seek for him. Looking for someone is different from seeking. When you seek, you have a deep desire for the person. You have an insatiable thirst for them. It’s so similar to falling in love. You desire the person so much, that your soul automatically craves for the person when they are just far. In my option, the best way of representing a perfect relationship with God is the Representation of a couple, who is really in love.
I don’t know which conception of God you have, but for me, God is my beloved, he is my elder brother, he is my best, he is my faithful friend, and I’ll keep the rest to myself. The Human being was borne with sin, since the story of the garden. So we are not born with the love of what is good, but we have to create this love and wake it up until it grows. When we wake up our love and passion for God, and we personify it, it becomes natural for our soul to seek him, and to seek with all our hearts.
Prayer: God, as from today. I wish to take you as my partner, my friend, and my beloved. As I take the decision of changing my way of seeing you, I beg you to let the love I have for you grow in me until I become passionate enough to endlessly seek your presence. Amen.
