I love this verse so much because if you pay attention, you will realize it says something deeper than what you can see. Jeremiah says “ This is what I want to recall to my mind”. It means that he is choosing what he wants his mind or his heart to remember.
So here, we learn that any type of information can enter our ears, but we are able to decide which one will stay. You may have many bad news per day, many gossips or insults you may receive, but you are able to choose the one your mind will recall of.
