Hebrews 6:18 This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].
Yes, there are things God will never do!
One of them includes lying. He can not lie, and neither can He fail. Sarah, Abraham’s wife was already tired of waiting on the Lord and she went ahead to take Hagar her maid, and cause her to make a child for her husband. Abraham obeyed his wife and later on proposed the fruit of impatience to God as the heir to the promise. The Lord still reiterated His promises for He remains unchangeable. Despite all the tipsy-turvy events that followed, God still carried His word to completion. The fact that the couple was too impatient birthed some consequences like the wars between Ismael and Isaac. Till today this still affects us somehow for their descendants are still opponents. What if Sarah was more patient? Well, she would have saved herself from so much stress especially the stress from the disrespect Hagar later had towards her. Also, many of the battles they faced would’ve never been up. This is why it is better to wait on God and not give in to impatience, it bears no other food than head and heartaches.Â
