Ephesians 5:1 THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance. [Ezek. 20:41.]
How can we talk about evangelism without mentioning discipleship?
Discipleship is all about becoming like Jesus .
For a more effective evangelism, for people to dwell in faith after having accepted Jesus, we need to disciple them . That is , helping them to mature and really be in rooted in their faith .
Discipleship is just like nursing a child it’s a spiritual activity that needs love, intentionality and patience .
If we want people to keep the faith in Christ after they have believed , we need to be committed in following them up and most importantly showing the example .
Jesus himself discipled the twelve and they also in their turn discipled others . It’s a continuous chain .
I encourage you not to abandon that one person to whom you spoke about Christ check on him regularly to see if he is growing .
