13 September 2024 

Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].

To be like Jesus, to walk and be victorious in our Christian life, to be in line with God’s principles , we need to die and renounce to ourselves each day . Not once in a while but every single day. 

Denying to self signifies abandoning one’s desires and will to follow God’s own . It’s being  able to live wholly for God . 

Renouncing to self beyond obedience, is  an act of faith knowing that what I have abandoned for Him is not worth what He has in  reserve for me. 

When you die to self, you can’t longer be guided by your  own emotions , you get detached from things of the world and your focus becomes  on the things above. 

People that die to themselves for the sake of Christ are used by  God because it’s easy for them to walk by the spirit . Denying yourself is killing the flesh and killing the flesh is permitting the spirit to live. 

Someone that hasn’t let God full control and authority over his life can’t be a faithful servant . God searches people that are entirely dedicated to Him . Those that have  surrendered their will, feelings , emotions , desires , heart and project to Him . 

I can assure you, as well as people that have walked with God :  it’s always a gain to follow Christ . 

Prayer

 Lord please help me die to myself each and every day . I really want to please you . Amen
