Deuteronomy 8v11 “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his law and his decrees that I am giving you this day..”

Let’s talk about Leadership ! Moses was at the head of the people of Israel, he always lead them, and whenever they had a problem he was there to plead God in their favor. The role of Moses in the life of the Israelites was to help them reach the Land of Promise safely. Moses too had to go to that Land of Promise. It became like their major goal. One day, the people of God committed an offense to God at a point that God was angry and decided to punish Moses for their sin.

This is so sad that, he has to be punished for them. What shocks me is that, his punishment was that he will never see the Land of Promise. He will die before. Despite the fact that the LORD punished Moses, he did not stop advising them. In this verse he says “ Be careful..” it shows us that he wanted their good. Eventhough he was punished by their fault, he never tried to mislead them. He was a good Leader, in the best and in the worst times, even when he had no more interest in the walk. He lead them with all his heart.

Do not let the society teach you habits of doing things well when you have an interest only. Do your work with all your heart, in all honesty and zeal, and the LORD who is the best rewarder will reward you

Prayer: 

Lord, teach me how to be a good Leader, a person who does not only does good when there is an interest, but I want to serve in your House and in the society, with all my heart.
