This thing called life is very strange.
When there is no sap, a tree can’t even exist. The substance of Christ is very essential to us Christians. Without it, we are not living.
The mere name of being a Christian is but a dead thing, we must be filled with the spirit of divine life.
It is this Spirit that shapes us into what is appreciable in the sight of God.
Our root is Christ Jesus, and our life is hidden in him; this is the secret of the Lord. The radix of the Christian life is as secret as the life itself.
