For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?
As a believer, it is advisable and obligatory for you to select your friends wisely. This is very necessary to maintain your ways. When you look at the book of Genesis, the Lord spends His time advising His people not to mingle with pagans and other strange nations. He emphasizes the fact that they ought to be far from them to keep their faith and education. He gives this command for them not to be prostituted with evil from foreigners but throughout scripture, Israel- the lord’s people never really obeyed. This has led them to their downfall till today. From this experience, we can clearly see that bad companies surely will corrupt a good person.Â
