Colossians 3:23 Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men.
There are so many reasons why you shouldn’t do things expecting people to appreciate or notice you. The most important one is that it makes you focus on achieving your goals, first of all for God and next, for yourself. This will then give you peace because you would’ve done it well and with real motives. Acting as the above verse prescribes will keep your heart from so many heartbreaks and keep you healthy also.
