Mark 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have pity and mercy on me [now]!
MERCY !
Bartimeus did not called up on Jesus for mercy upon him. He did not mind those that tried to silence him. He persisted until He was heard by Jesus.
Mark 10:48 And many severely censured and reproved him, telling him to keep still, but he kept on shouting out all the more, You Son of David, have pity and mercy on me [now]!
Mark 10:49 And Jesus stopped and said, Call him. And they called the blind man, telling him, Take courage! Get up! He is calling you.
He trusted that if he could get the attention of the Lord, mercy would be granted unto Him. Brethren, the Bible states that, if we call upon the name of the Lord, He will answer (Jer 33:3). This means that In that situation that seems to have no solution, you can call upon the aid of your God. There are many ways in which mercy can be granted; the first way is through the Spirit of God, Secondly it is from men to men that is, God sending men to uplift each other. Children of God, I want you to believe that God can do all things as He says. It is true it seems easier to believe otherwise and see through the lens of flesh but child of God , have faith. God is multifaceted and multi breasted. His ways aren’t ours and He is Mighty. You just need to ask in His will and nigh to Him according to how the Bible teaches us to talk to ( that is with praise and chants and expressing our requests in a heartfelt way in all humility). He surely will show up!
Prayer:
Father, when I see my situation, I sometimes don’t believe that you can divide this Red Sea through me. Lord may you hold my hand as we cross for it is so difficult. Amen.
