Job 19:25-27 “ I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; 27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!”   …

Job 19:25-27 “ I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; 27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!”

Job is a person who suffered so much in his life. He went through many difficulties and very few people on earth suffered like him. Yet he kept his eyes on Jesus. He was not only saying that he knows that his redeemer lives, but he said he knows ! He is precising here that he is sure of what he is saying, he is sure of the Presence of God despite His silence 🤐. Job does not end there, but goes further to say that even if his skin has to be destroyed, he will continue waiting on God.

The role of the devil is to put negative thoughts in your mind that cause discouragement! Job was in a difficult period, and he was not confessing what he was feeling but what he knew !

This verse signifies God as our only hope amidst immense suffering. Job moves out of begging for mercy to be delivered both from the hand of God and the hurt of his community into stating: “I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

Regardless of the uncertainty of some of the interpretation, we can stand on the fact that from the beginning of God’s word, to the end, God is seen as the redeemer of His people. Even in Job’s lowest moment as he calls God an “enemy,” he stakes his faith on the fact that God is also his ultimate redeemer.
