🌹 December 13, 2024.

1 Thessalonians 5v16 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.

Many topics are mentioned in this verse, but we will try to mention only one. Pray without ceasing ! Above just talking to God, prayer is the main way through which a Christian keeps his relationship with God. Just as a child keeps a relationship with his father. 🧔🏽‍♀️👶🏽

Furthermore, if you noticed well my aim is to put an emphasis on the relationship. What is prayer for you? For some people, prayer is a means to escape the devil’s hand, for others it is a way to easily beg when you are in need ! But, actually.. Prayer should be seen as a means to come closer to God. Our relationship with God is no longer like master and slave, but like a loving father and an imperfect child.

Every parent will love to have a child who cares about him, and just enjoy the parent’s presence, instead of having one whose principal objective is to ask for money whenever he is in need. That’s just how we do with God, and hurt him. We want to use God, for our ends. Let us turn our hearts from the evil quest for money, and start loving God for who He is. Let us stop seeking for what his hand can give, but for His heart.

The Bible says ‘’But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.’’ Let us turn back our hearts towards Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am sorry for all the times I sought for you, just to obtain what your hand can give. As from today I want to seek for your heart and really touch You. I want to have a deep and lovely relationship with you. Daddy, as You come and feel me with Your Presence give me the grace to always keep it. In Jesus’ name
