Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].

Keeping a spirit of constant humility is prior to maintaining a correct posture before the other brethren and our God. It will prevent you from getting full of yourself and falling into Lucifer’s sin.

Do everything for the glory of God keeping in mind that you are not better than anyone else and that it is by the grace of God that you are who you are.

It is very important to always have this mindset. It will help you to understand that only God is absolute and that the flesh is deceptive, so deceptive.

Pray God to vet your motives and search your heart always. Surround yourself with people who tell you the truth, people you are accountable to so that you never exalt yourself above others.

Prayer:

Psalm 139:23 Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!

Psalm 139:24 And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Verse for today:

•Colossians 3:23.
