1 Corinthians 12:1 NOW ABOUT the spiritual gifts (the special endowments of supernatural energy), brethren, I do not want you to be misinformed.
Within the body of Christ (church), there are a good number of supernatural gifts available to us. These gifts or advantages are meant for us to keep on doing the work of Christ as prophesied by Him when He said that we shall do even greater works than He did.
So it is always good to seek the counsel of the Spirit when it comes to analyzing these gifts and finding what ours is. These gifts are made available today so we may carry out the works of the church and address spiritual warfare effectively. These days, a lot of false prophets have entered the world so let us always remain close to our source the Holy Spirit so we may be able to discern who is of God and who isn’t. Conclusively, know that these advantages are for the glory of God and not for our selfish use. That is, do not use it for people to praise you because you may depart from the counsel of the Spirit and fall into the pit of pride the devil has prepared for every believer who is far from God.
