Judges 7:2 The Lord said to Gideon, The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel boast about themselves against Me, saying, My own hand has delivered me. Through this, we see that God’s procedures are far different from what we can imagine. “His power is made perfect in our weakness”, the Bible also says. The episode of the above battle is a clear proof of this assertion. Why does God have to wait till we are at our weakest before He manifests? Well, the answer is still in the above episode. It is to prevent us from boasting and saying that we got helped by our ego.
God is the miracle worker and seeks to show us how much he’s got us and that we are at our safest with Him. This is why when things get complicated and confusing and you already have heard the Lord’s promises over your life, just do like the Angel told Elijah; take a nap after refreshing. It will permit you to renew your strength while waiting for the salvation of your God. Your God is capable. It may not be an easy process, but you have to hold on. The potter is shaping you for you to fit into your promises.
