“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”
Psalm 25:5
At the beginning of one’s Christian life, he starts with trembling feet and is lead as a child. It is true that he or she will grow in the things of God, that is; he or she will get to know God more. But the Lord will keep leading him/her the way a child is held up by his parents.
This is why growing up it is very important to remain humble and always wait on the Lord to make any move.
It is simple, just take the case of soldiers under the authority of a general, the soldiers must wait on the instructions of the general before making any move.
This is just how it works with God. You must remain teachable and ready to obey no matter what.
The moment you begin to be stubborn and feel like you know too much, that is the moment when you will backslide and if not careful, you will crash and satan won’t show you mercy with uncomfortable situations.
The Bible itself states that blessed are the childlike and Jesus after that statement encourages us to copy from children in our walk with God. It is highly profitable for us! Copy that brethren.
Prayer:
Oh God, may you always get my life and break any pride that seems to grow in me so I remain your child. Amen.
