A certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”

Luke 11:27, 28

Indeed blessed are those that hear the Word of God and keep it for it is very important for us who aspire to be called faithful servants (Mt 25:21). It is an essential criterion for the measurement of the love of God in believers. 

For it says that “those who love me shall keep my commands”. 

Keeping God’s word to enrich your religious vocabulary is void of sense. The Word of God is a sword in spiritual warfare. 

In the temptations of Christ, He clearly uses it to fight back against the enemy. As believers, we need to submit to the Spirit of God so He can teach us the ways of the Lord and minister to us the use of this weapon called the word of God to fight the enemy with great efficiency. 

Through the Word of God, you are permitted to understand how God functions. It is true That Elohim has different procedures from all of us,  that is; what may work for X may not work for Y. But at least the Word will permit you to have an idea of how things are done with God. Through this, you will improve in discernment and your ability to test every spirit because it’s not all spirits that come from God.  Remember that the devil comes as an angel of light to lure us into all kinds of confusing beliefs as we see nowadays. 

Brethren, in order for you not to get in the tongs of these fallacious teachings, use the word of God as the litmus test for all these deceptions served to us. 

Prayer:

 O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, Did instruct the hearts of the faithful, Grant that by the same Holy Spirit, we may be truly wise and ever enjoy his consolations. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen!
