2 Timothy 1:9 [For it is He] Who delivered and saved us and called us with a calling in itself holy and leading to holiness [to a life of consecration, a vocation of holiness]; [He did it] not because of anything of merit that we have done, but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago].
Growing up in Christ, you realize how imperfect mankind is.
You understand that we are who we are in Christ just by grace and nothing else.
If we had to earn our salvation, we won’t even meet the criteria.
This doesn’t mean that we should take that for granted. On the contrary, we ought to be examples as a sin of love and appreciation unto God for his tender mercies. We must know that God chooses who He wants and that the Glory all belongs to Him alone.Â
God loving us helps us to realize that He is indeed mysterious and good. Let His name be praised forever. Yadah Elohim !!
Prayer :
Blessed be the name of the Lord who looked at us and found it Good to call us into Him. May we always remain humble and lift others the way He lifts us. Amen !!
