Theme: The lamp of God
1 Sav 3 v 3 “The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was.”
Here we have the story of the young boy, Samuel. The Bible declares that the word of God was rare. Even Eli’s eyes became too weak, but the lamp of God, had not yet gone out. The role of Samuel, was to watch on the lamp of God. The lamp of God here represents His Presence, despite the fact that His word became rare, God was still there to watch whether somebody is there for Him, to seek for His Presence and spend some time with Him.
Then He saw Samuel, a young boy. Sometimes you might be in an environment, be it in your family, in church or even your Personal relationship with God, where God has always been but His word is becoming rare. The Lord is looking for somebody to send, for somebody to use. This world needs Christians who will rise, people that will bring back the Presence of God, a generation of young Christians inflamed with a strange zeal to conquer and submit this world! Samuel was a young boy, You are not too old to be used by God, you are not too old to keep the lamp of God on.
In every domain or section of your life, make sure that the lamp of God is stills on. The Holy Spirit is very gentle, and if he realizes that you are not interested , he will go but if you are, He will come and dwell with you.Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me, Says the Lord.This verse pictures Jesus standing outside the church at Laodicea and knocking at its door to be welcomed and admitted into the church. He does not force himself upon the church, but patiently waits to be invited in.
I don’t know in which domain of your life you want to invite God to come back or come, but it is high time!

Open your mouth and start worshipping God and ask Him to come and dwell in your life.
