…We have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMPC)
The Bible clearly tells you that as a Christian, you have the mind of Christ. Why, then, do you experience times when you feel like you’re on an emotional roller coaster? Romans 8 teaches that you also have a mind of the flesh, which causes you to think, say, feel, and do things that make you unproductive.
That’s why it’s important to recognize that your feelings are not reliable. You must choose to go deeper than your feelings and live by what you know deep in your heart.
If you sometimes feel your mind is lost in a maze of confusion, it’s time to give up the mind of the flesh and operate in the mind of Christ. It is an exchange that will lead you out of frustration and into victorious Christian living.
Prayer of the Day:
Lord, help me reject the confusion of fleshly thinking and live with the mind of Christ. Teach me to trust Your truth above my ever-changing feelings.
